Dyson DC07 Washable Filter Service

When the washable filter gets clogged up it will severley affect the suction of the vacuum. Vacuuming fine powders such as flour, shake 'n' vac or plaster dust can very quickly stop the filters performing as they should.

This simple routine maintenance task can solve a lot of suction issues and will prevent premature motor burn out.

Tools Needed and Other Information

No tools needed, but please allow the filter to dry out fully before placing it back in to the vacuum cleaner.

Dyson DC07 not sucking

The washable filter is housed at the side of the vacuum, press the coloured latch to remove the housing.

With the housing removed, the filter can now be seen. Sometimes this can be a bit tight in the housing, rotating the filter will help it come loose.

The filter splits into two halves, and both can be washed, but please ensure they are totally dry before placing them back into the vacuum cleaner.
